Closing Session: Developing a culture of innovation

Some baselines for our future:
  • An ability to be agile, flexible and innovative is a mandate for future learning.
  • The learning culture of the community needs to be embedded within the DNA of the school.
  • Changing culture is hard work!
  • Developing innovative practices is hard work!
  • Thinking we can do the same things to meet new and different contexts/outcomes is the definition of….
Some innovative play spaces or thinkering spaces can be a catalyst for innovation and provide various ways of students expressing and communicating. Using a mix of digital literacy, design thinking and critical thinking, this session will look at some strategies to start the cultural change for innovation and discuss how this impacts literacy.
