Flipgrid - from student voice to global connections - Part 1
Limited Capacity seats available

Flipgrid is a video based platform that takes learning to a new level. Student Voice and global connections lead to real life learning opportunities. Teachers across the school can complete consistent assessment tasks and have real evidence for assessment and reporting. Flipgrid can be used by leadership, teachers, parents and students for a range of professional connections and global learning opportunities. Receive feedback from peers and learn from each other. Use for professional learning and post workshop feedback. In this 2 part workshop participants will learn about the power of flipgrid across the school and the world. All participants will receive a 45 day free classroom trial for them selves and a code for their staff. Lucky participants can win a 12 month classroom subscription.

Integrating children’s literature and digital technology: reading and enjoying picture books K-2
Limited Capacity seats available

Using the picture book Herman and Rosie by Gus Gordon, we will explore how technology can help build field knowledge for a story, be used for shared and modelled reading, explore characters and theme as well as create text innovations on a story. Guiding principles for integrating digital technology and literacy learning include the role of play and creativity, appropriate skills and content, multimodal features and inclusive pedagogical practices.
