Numeracy is the ability and inclination to use mathematical tools to interpret and interact with the world around us. But with the world changing at an incredible pace, and mathematical systems taking on increasing roles in society, what does numeracy even look like now? We are well into the 21st century, but schools are struggling to understand the implications of this brave new world and adjust teaching practices to prepare our students for the world they now inhabit. This workshop will explore the implications and uses of technology in today's numeracy classroom.
