With the link between numeracy and digital technology, the aim within “Up and over ‘The Wall’” is to illustrate how STEM pedagogy supports deep understanding of numeracy when using devices and appropriate software and apps. The workshop will show that even when starting with limited resources, a creative shift can lead to constructive and meaningful change that has a positive impact on student outcomes.
The workshops will be interactive, with practical knowledge and examples, and an opportunity for questions. Most of all, the workshops will provide insight into how to create meaningful learning experiences using STEM practices in order to improve future focussed learning.
The following Apps will be used during the presentation:
  • Brain It On
  • coSpaces Edu
  • Flow Free
  • Geogebra AR
  • myTracks
  • Pattern Shapes (Maths Learning Centre)
  • Stop Motion
  • Tetroids
