Using the picture book Herman and Rosie by Gus Gordon, we will explore how technology can help build field knowledge for a story, be used for shared and modelled reading, explore characters and theme as well as create text innovations on a story. Guiding principles for integrating digital technology and literacy learning include the role of play and creativity, appropriate skills and content, multimodal features and inclusive pedagogical practices.
